Private and unlisted logs
Warcraft Logs reports can be public, unlisted, or private. The site's analyses are built from public reports. Unlisted and private reports do not appear in any report list, so a guild that logs that way used to show no data here, or an incomplete pull count. The site now supports both. There are two ways.
Connect Warcraft Logs
A guild member signs in at Warcraft Logs from the guild's Insights view and approves two permissions. After that, the guild's unlisted reports are included in every analysis automatically. Private reports take one more step: a current Officer or Guild Master on the guild's Warcraft Logs roster gives a separate consent. That consent ends if their rank ends. Disconnecting stops future updates. The grant can also be revoked on Warcraft Logs itself.
Managing the connection is tied to the browser that completed the sign-in. Everyone else sees the connection's status only. A guild member on another browser can sign in again to manage it; for them Warcraft Logs remembers the earlier approval, so that is one click.
Register unlisted reports without signing in
A member can instead paste the guild's unlisted report links on the Insights view. One paste can carry a whole progression's worth. Each report is checked against Warcraft Logs' own guild attribution before it is stored. Only reports that belong to the guild can be added.
What the site stores
- Pull counts, pull timelines, and progression hours.
- Each raider's deaths and mechanic hits.
- No damage or healing parses.
- Sign-in tokens are stored encrypted and are never shown.
All of it is shown publicly. That is the point of the site, and connecting is a choice to make the guild's raid data public here. The site never publishes a link to an unlisted or private report. For an unlisted report the link itself grants access, so report links are shown only for public logs.
Why
Some guilds keep logs off the public rankings on purpose. Their progression still happened. This gives those guilds a way to be measured accurately without changing how they log.
